Testosterone Replacement

What is low T?

Do you know the symptoms of androgen deficiency? Symptoms include fatigue, decreased sex drive, erectile dysfunction, feeling sad or depressed, loss of muscle and bone strength, loss of facial or body hair, growing breasts, irritability, mood swings, and rounded belly. Many men find themselves limited by a number. They say you’re not low, but you know you still have symptoms. That’s when you truly get to see the benefit of seeking care at a local, provider-owned and operated clinic. Our provider has gone the extra mile to become well-versed in replacement therapy, including management of common side effects.

How does it work?

The first step to getting started is a lab draw to see if you will be a candidate for replacement therapy. We draw labs in-house, so your first visit will consist of meeting the nurse practitioner, drawing labs, obtaining your history, discussing current symptoms, and creating a follow up plan.

The next step is a visit to review your blood results and create a treatment plan. Medications and supplies are either sent to a local pharmacy of your choice or shipped directly to you with the option to come in for injections if needed, as well. You will have a visit with follow up labs every 3 months until dialed in, and sometimes more frequently as needed. Not a fan of injections? We also offer topical replacement therapy for an additional fee!

How much does it cost?

The initial lab work includes a comprehensive assessment of your hormone levels and overall wellness. This measures your complete blood count, electrolytes, kidney and liver function, cholesterol levels, thyroid function, prostate specific antigen, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, estradiol, cortisol, follicular-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, and of course, androgen (testosterone) levels. All of these results provide the practitioner with the information needed to start you on the appropriate treatments and dial your levels in. We can draw labs in our office through Rupa Labs (total cost for the initial draw through us can be up to $100 depending on what labs are needed) or you also have the option to use any outside lab, although I cannot guarantee pricing when utilizing insurance or outside labs. Your medications can be filled at a local pharmacy through insurance, or we will also discuss compounded medication options if not covered by insurance. Visits can be billed to insurance for those with BlueCross BlueShield commercial coverage or those with traditional Medicare. Due to laws preventing patients covered by Medicaid and Medicare to be billed self-pay for services, we are unable to service patients covered by Medicaid or Managed Medicare/ Medicare Advantage Plans. Patient without insurance or with a commercial insurance other than BlueCross BlueShield will be expected to pay $75 per visit at the time of service. If you proceed with treatment through our clinic, you will have labs approximately every 3 months until deemed stable and will have a visit approximately 1 week after your lab draw so that we can discuss labs and adjust your treatment as necessary.

** Please note, I strive to pass my savings onto my clients. The cost of initial lab work is the cost I pay for this panel to be completed, therefor this cost is non-refundable. If you are not a candidate for replacement therapy, there are often other options to manage your symptoms and we will discuss this at your consultation. You will receive a copy of all results.

Erectile Dysfunction.

We offer treatment for erectile dysfunction, including difficulty obtaining and maintaining an erection as well as premature ejaculation. Medications can be ordered to a local pharmacy or mailed to your door. Forget the prices you see on those late night television commercials… Most men are able to receive THIRTY TABS for around $9 TOTAL from a local commercial pharmacy of your choice! (Must have a visit with the provider to receive a prescription)
